LexaCon History and Sound...

Alexa and Connor met and became instant friends at graduate orientation at Columbia College Chicago. It wasn't long before the inspiration struck for them to create a composing team. Together they've worked on a number of award-winning short films and musicals spanning many genres. 

In their writing, they combine Connor's Appalachian folk roots and Alexa's love of classic and modern rock, as well as their shared study of classical music (and a number of other styles including jazz, contemporary, Baroque, new wave, and Irish folk). They frequently incorporate sound design and original samples and instruments in their scores, making for a unique and specialized sound for each project they create music for.

In addition to being a film & musical composition team, Alexa and Connor also perform as a contemporary folk duo in and around Los Angeles.
